This painting reminds me of snowy days when I was a girl. My sisters and I would bundle up and trudge to the feed bunks, snow shovels in hand. Moving snow so the cattle could be fed was always part of a snow day. We had a red barn, too, so the memories came flooding back when I saw this scene. I wasn't too happy about the shoveling as a kid, but as I look back, it is one of my treasured memories.
